Jewels was a "classy" 1992 sorel overo mare sired by World Champion, Red Sonny Dee. She was double registered APHA and AQHA. She was 100% quarter horse in her pedigree. Jewels was a 16 hand APHA Champion with over 500 lifetime halter and performance APHA points. She had 8 ROM's and 3 Superior Awards in:

  • Halter
  • Hunter Under Saddle
  • Western Pleasure

She stood Grand or Reserve Grand Champion 25 times and had additional APHA performance points in:

  • Hunter Hack
  • Hunt Seat Equitation
  • Trail
  • Showmanship at Halter

Red Sonny Dee (sire) was a World and Reserve World Champion Halter horse sired by the AQHA Hall of Fame great Sonny Dee Bar. Red Sonny Dee sired 26 World and Reserve World Champions. Red Sonny Dee is also the great grand sire of Red Charisma, a leading sire of Hunter performance winners.

The 12 Stall Show Barn at MVPHR has been named after Red Classy Dee.

Jewels last foal was born in the spring of 2007 and she looks just like her Dam. Stunning. The foal is by multiple World Champion sire, Zippo Sensation. Watch for this darling filly in the Show Ring in 2008!
