Wiconi is a stunning 16.3 hand 2004 Mahogany bay overo stallion by the late North Forty Rocket (NFR) who was a Superior Halter / 44 time Grand or Reserve Grand Halter Champion.  Wiconi is out of Falcon Slew (JC), who is out of Slew of Irish, herself by One More Slew.  One More Slew is a son of Seattle Slew (TB), the only undefeated Triple Crown winner!

This eye-catching blue-eyed colt has an awesome pedigree and finished 4th at the 2007 APHA World Show in the 3 year old hus Challenge. He has earned his superior Hunter Under Saddle award in Youth 14-18 under Chauncey Smith and is nearing his Open Superior award under Suzanne Whittington.

On the sire's side, Wiconi's Pedigree includes:

  • Ropin Robin - APHA and Versatility Champion, winning 4 superior and 6 ROMs.  This, on top of 78 grand and reserve halter championships.
  • My Painted Robin - 3 time Reserve National Champion Sire of Get and National Heading Champion.
  • Painted Robin - a Paint Horse Legend

Wiconi's dam is in The Mountain View Paint Horse Ranch Hall of Fame.  Her Pedigree includes the following great Horses:

  • Seattle Slew, Triple Crown Winner
  • “Horse of the Year” winners – Count Fleet, Native Dancer, Bold Ruler, Discovery, Blue Larkspur, Tom Fool, War Admiral and Seattle Slew
  • AQHA Champions (3), AQHA Hall of Fame entries (9), and multiple Thoroughbred Hall of Fame entries.
  • Other leading Thoroughbreds such as Mr Prospector, Determine, Decidely, Raise a Native, Bold Reasoning, Nasrullah, Nearco, Hyperion, Polynesian, Nashua and Man-O-War.
  • Triple Crown Winners – Count Fleet, War Admiral and Seattle Slew and six Kentucky Derby Winners.

Through the marvels of modern horse breeding Technology, Wiconi was collected and his sperm were frozen in 2006. We have enough to breed up to 100 lifetime Wiconi foals. Get yours while you can! Wiconi was gelded in 2007 and was sold to World Champion trainer, Suzanne Whittington of Silver Legacy Pleasure Horses. Wiconi is in his "over fences" training and will become the "mount" for World Champion, Chauncey Smith in APHA youth 14-18 events. MVPHR maintained all breeding rights to Wiconi.

Wiconi is enrolled in the APHA Breders Trust, NSBA Stallion incentive Fund, Arizona Paint Breeders Futurity and MVPHR incentive program.

Wiconi is in full time training with World Champion trainer Suzanne Whittington.
