Horse Training
Horses at the ranch
may be trained in a wide variety of disciplines. Weanlings are trained for
the ground basics of haltering, leading, trailering and grooming. Yearlings
are trained in longe-line and in-hand-trail. Jr horses are trained under
saddle for Western and English pleasure, trail and showmanship using outside
trainers.
Training and Grooming Facilities
An 80’ x 160’ arena
with sand / wood chips footing is used for riding training.
A 40’ covered round pen with sand footing is used for ground training.
A full trail course has been built for yearling-in-hand-trail training.
A two-stall covered wash-rack is used for grooming and mare veterinary checks.
Two grass paddocks have been built for mare / foal
turnouts. The 1st is 4,000 sq ft (80’ x 50’) and the 2nd is 1’800 sq ft (60’ x
30’).
Horse Boarding
Horses may be boarded for sale at prices ranging
from $250 to $400. The ranch also has a variety of show horse prospects
available for sale from Top 20 APHA stallions bred to our Top 20 bred mares.
