I Got Charisma

1997 Chestnut Overo Stallion
World Champion Sire
"The Paint Horse Industry will miss you"

1997 - 2012

Mountain View Paint Horse Ranch had the great privilege of having the great huntseat stallion - I Got Charisma at our ranch this past summer. Hank was lost to a twisted colon this year - a very big loss to all who have been involved in breeding and raising Hank and the Jarvis' family for their many years of raising two great stallions - Hank and his sire, the great Red Charisma. He will also be missed by the loyal mare owners who have bred to him in search of their own next great huntseat show horses. Hank is currently right around #30 on the 2013 APHA Leading Sire List and should continue to stay in the Top 30 for many years to come.

Mountain View Paint Horse ranch bred its young mare, Supreme Silver Bullet (Belle) to Hank when he was just 8 years old. The result of this breeding was The Gift of Midas - the first World Champion stallion sired by I Got Charisma. We have bred back to Hank again and again. His second foal with us by the same mare was named Supreme Charisma - a 2006 gelding that went on to earn two Top Ten finishes at the APHA World Show as a 2 year old. The next foal by this tandem was Golden Charisma, a 2009 filly who has just begun her career in the show ring. Belle is back in foal to Hank for a 2013 foal which of course will be very special to us. Deb and Eric still have frozen semen available for Hank and we will, of course, breed back.

Hank now has his own Facebook Page. If you have had the pleasure of meeting Hank "live" at Deb and Eric's ranch in Valley View, Texas, own one of his foals, or simply enjoy watching his offspring light up the show pen with their loud coloring, please visit his page and leave your memories.

Hank was featured in a memorial to his great life in the June issue of the Paint and Quarter Horse Connection magazine. Click here to view the cover and Hank's story run in that issue.
